Impact of Government Shutdown in the US
As per Gallup, now the most important problem faced by the US is a dysfunctional government (33% think so) and not the economy in general (at 19%). The other top problems are unemployment or jobs, federal debt/deficit, healthcare issues.
According to a survey conducted
by Gallup in 7 Eurozone nations, people do not have faith in their financial
institutions (such as banks). The highest confidence shown was by Portuguese
people 40%. The other countries just follow - Germany 37%, Greece 17%, Spain 11%,
Cyprus 11 %

- - 85% think that by working hard they can get ahead in life
